My name is Nils and I’m a full time content creator with too many hobbies. One of my favorites is 3D Printing. As soon as I bought my first printer in February of 2016 (the Printrbot Simple), I was so excited to see what I could create right on my desk.
Since then, I have owned 23 3D printers and have done everything from printing intricate mechanical pieces to printing entire full sized stormtrooper armor suits that I had bullet-proofed. And lots of stuff in between. I’m a big fan of larger prints, like helmets, vases and small items blown up into massive items just for fun.
I’m still learning every time I print but it definitely gets easier as you go.

Favorite printers
I’m partial to my Longer LK5 Pro because of its ample print volume (about 12″ x 12″ x 16″) and because it’s a solid all around performer and works great with OctoPrint. I also love my Flashforge printers, which are just super solid all the time, being fully enclosed, working with FlashPrint Slicer and built-in cameras.
Favorite Print So Far
Definitely the bulletproof stormtrooper. Not much cooler than that.
Favorite Filament
I love the marble filament because it actually looks like a marble material when it’s done and it’s really durable too. Perfect for statues or granite buildings.
